Representing doctoral and masters students at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York
Use this form to petition the DSC to charter a new organization. The petition must include signatures from at least 20 students. Students must represent at least 3 different programs with no more than 10 from the same program. You must also email a one page constitution detailing your group's mission, proposed events, membership, and how co-chairs will be selected/elected, as well as a statement of purpose that, in less than 250 words, explains how the proposed chartered organization is not redundant with the mission of the DSC or other currently-chartered groups. All materials should be submitted to the Co-Chair for Student Affairs.

Under the provisions of Graduate Council Bylaws §2.1.E.2, DSC representatives serve as alternates for Graduate Council student representatives from their program. DSC representatives may present this form at the sign-in table of Graduate Council to receive your ballot.

Use this form to petition the DGSC to create a Program Representative seat for your program. After nominations have closed, students in a program without Program Representative seats may create one or more seats, up to the maximum number allowed (1 per 100 students), by sending a request to the Steering Committee with the name(s) of their pro tempore representative(s), signed by the lesser of 20 or one-quarter of the students in that program.
