Shawn Rice calls the meeting to order at 6:18pm.

I. Approval of Agenda

Monique Whitaker motions, Keith Miyake seconds, motion passes unanimously.

II. Orientation to the DSC

Shawn Rice expounds on the structure and functions of The DSC, its joys and duties. He clarifies the distinction between Program Representatives and At-Large Representatives. He also provides an introduction to the DSC website: check requests, room reservations, program allocations, and the online room reservation schedule. He also discusses the role of the DSC affiliates, Program Student Associations, and Chartered organizations.

III. Ratification of New Representatives (None to be ratified)

IV. Elections
a. Co-Chair for Student Affairs
Stephanie Jones nominates Eero Laine, he accepts. Patricia Stapleton motions to close nominations and elect Eero Laine, Colin Ashley seconds

b. Co-Chair for Communications
Eero Laine nominates Jared Simard, he accepts. Ben Miller nominates Kim Libman, she declines. Keith Miyake moves to close elections and elect Jared Simard, Kim Libman seconds.

c. Co-Chair for Business
Jared Simard nominates Annie Dell’Aria, she accepts. Colin Ashley moves to close elections and elect Annie Dell’Aria, Nicole Hansen seconds.

d. University Student Senate Delegate
Stephanie jones nominates Emily Clark, she accepts. Eero Laine nominates Chrissy Nadler, she accepts.
Chrissy wins!

e. University Faculty Senate Liaison
Maggie Galvan nominates Ann Donlon. Ben Miller moves to close elections and elect Ann Donlon, Keith Miyake seconds.

f. At-Large Steering Officers (Six Slots)
Chrissy Nadler nominates Colin Ashley and she accepts, Annie Dell’Aria nominates Patricia Stapeleton and she accepts, Jared Simard nominates Ben Miller but he declines, Eero Laine nominates Monique Whitaker and she accepts, Stephanie Jones nominates Christopher Silsby and he accepts, Patricia Stapeleton nominates Nicole Hanson and she accepts, Keith Miyake nominates Manissa Maharawal and she accepts, Carolina Barrera-Tobon nominates Christen Madsen and he accepts, Christen Madsen nominates Carolina Barrera-Tobon but she declines.

V. Ratification of Elected Officers
Keith Miyake motions, Ben Miller seconds, motion passes unanimously.

g. Student Technology Fee (Three Slots, Two Alternates)
Ben Miller nominates Maggie Galvan and she accepts, Stefanie Jones nominates Chrissy Nadler and she accepts, Kim Libman nominates Keith Miyake, Valia Mitsou nominates herself, Carolina Barrera-Tobon nominates Tim Fujioka.

Kim Libman moves to close nominations, Eero seconds.
Maggie, Keith, and Tim win!

h. Advocate Advisory Board (One slot)
Stefanie Jones nominates herself. Kim Libman moves to close nominations and elect Stefanie Jones, Keith Miyake seconds.

i. Auxiliary Enterprise Board (Two Slots)
Stefanie Jones nominates Lisa Reinke, she accepts Stephanie Jones nominate Ben Miller, he accepts.

Colin Ashley motions to close nominations and elect Lisa and Ben, Annie Dell’Aria seconds, motion carries.

j. College Association (Two Slots)
Ben Miller nominates Keith Miyake and he accepts, Manissa Maharawal nominates Antonia Santangelo and she accepts, Shawn Rice nominates Ann Donlon and she accepts.

Ben motions to close nominations and elect Antonia, Ann and Keith, Eero seconds.

k. Research Foundation Representative
Keith Miyake nominates Annie Dell’Aria and she accepts but later declines, Patricia Stapleton nominates Joanna Tice and she accepts, Ben Miller nominates Carolina Barrera-Tobon and she accepts. Carolina wins!

l. University Student Senate Alternate

Keith Miyake nominates Colin Ashley and he accepts. Carolina Barrera-Tobon motions to close nominations and elect, Patricia Stapelton seconds.
