Investing in CUNY is investing in New York. Investing in graduate education is doubly shrewd, since you are investing not just in future pioneers in their fields, you are also investing in students who simultaneously are professors at dozens of CUNY undergraduate schools.

The Doctoral Students' Council of the Graduate Center, CUNY, urges Governor Paterson and the CUNY Board of Trustees to resist budget cuts and tuition increases at the Graduate Center, and to think creatively about fiscal solutions that will maintain and even enhance the ascendant reputation and performance of the Graduate Center—one of the most respected and accomplished public schools in the nation. We urge the Governor to get to know us: the Graduate Center, in the heart of Midtown, is the central organ that keeps CUNY running smoothly and with continued distinction.

The Adjunct Project of the DSC continues to work to protect the employment rights of our students who perform significant service to our university as adjunct faculty.
