Bio

Suzanne Tamang is a third-level doctoral candidate in Computer Science program at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. She is currently working on her dissertation proposal that involves semi-parametric learning for the analysis of time series data. Her research interests are in medical informatics, data mining, machine learning and natural language processing. As a doctoral student, Suzanne has received teaching fellowships with the National Science Foundation, and CUNY. Currently, she is an Instructional Technology Fellow at the Macaulay Honors College.

Previous to her doctoral work, Suzanne was a Research Associate for a health system in the NY metropolitan area. She was born in Staten Island, NY and now lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, Rave, and (no longer stray) cat, Bindi.
